Morpheus8 FAQs
How long does a Morpheus8 treatment take?
Each appointment is about 1.5 hours in total. This includes 45–60 minutes for numbing and preparation, followed by approximately 30–45 minutes for the treatment itself.
Is the treatment painful?
Morpheus8 is generally well tolerated. We apply a strong topical numbing cream before your session. For those who prefer extra comfort, we also offer Penthrox for $75. Penthrox (sometimes called the “green whistle”) is a safe, inhaled pain relief option that you self-administer during the procedure. It provides quick, effective relief and wears off shortly after your session, so you can still drive yourself home.
How many treatments will I need?
For best results, we typically recommend a series of 3–6 treatments spaced 4–6 weeks apart. Some clients choose maintenance treatments once or twice a year to keep results long-lasting.
When will I see results?
You may notice improvements in skin texture and tone within 4 weeks, full results appear gradually and are usually seen 3–6 months after you complete your treatment series.
Is there downtime?
You may experience tightness, dryness, or mild flaking of skin in the week following the procedure. Mild swelling can occur for 24-48 hours following the treatment. Most people feel comfortable returning to work or regular activities within 24–48 hours.
Is Morpheus8 safe for all skin types?
Yes. Morpheus8 combines microneedling with radiofrequency energy and is safe for all skin tones, including darker complexions, when performed by a trained professional.
Can Morpheus8 help with acne?
Yes. The treatment can reduce active acne by decreasing oil production and destroying acne-causing bacteria, while also improving scars and skin texture over time.
Who is not a good candidate?
Morpheus8 is not recommended for those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have active infections or certain skin conditions in the treatment area. A consultation is required to ensure the treatment is right for you.
